New York NY (Biz N Need) - Smart small business owners are finding ways to target more discriminating consumers in a tightening economy with emerging marketing techniques.

Although many small businesses are the first to be impacted by a shrinking economy, many of these same owners are seeing opportunity. As the economy and technology change consumers become more savvy. This creates a phenomenal opportunity for small businesses to smartly target buyers that are purchasing differently.

By designing mobile public relations and social media strategies small businesses can attract new customers, in emerging channels to grow while others contract.

The secret is redesigning your marketing programs to capture this new consumer behavior. It is no longer flashing banners and dancing pigs that capture customer’s attention, it is mobile communication and social media interaction with trusted networks that gets your buyers attention and pointed at your business or service.

“We are seeing a growing trend of consumers using mobile devices and social media to guide their purchases,” says Sophia Crooks, Creative Director of Biz N Need, LLC. “This presents incredible opportunities for the right mobile public relations and social media strategy to attract these buyers and actually expand your business.”

Buy Promos Online, LLC Launches New Affordable Business and Holiday Promotional Items

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Buy Promos Online, LLC announces the launch of a new line of promotional gifts that fits a pinched budget — $3.00 and Under promos. Tough times push companies to seek creative and affordable ways to grow their business. Promotional items for trade shows, appreciation gifts, and holiday greetings are a smart way to stay top of mind with new prospects and existing clients.

Denton, NC (BizNNeed)  — Companies are increasingly searching for smarter and more economical ways to generate new business and grow existing accounts.

The irony of challenging business cycles is that companies need more business, but have less money to market. Buy Promos Online recognizes this dilemma and is ready to help — launching a brand new, more affordable line of unique and creative gifts.

If you are feeling the pinch in your pocket this year you can still purchase promos, but look for items that are more affordable

“If you are feeling the pinch in your pocket this year you can still purchase promos, but look for items that are more affordable,” counsels Stephany Mushonga, Senior Executive of Buy Promos Online. “Consider new ideas or take your promotional campaign in a new direction.”

The $3.00 and under business promotion product line increases your business opportunities for less money. This more for less strategy, used by savvy business owners, is putting their brands in the homes and offices of hundreds of potential buyers — increasing new inquiries and client referrals.

Unfortunately, in a political campaign year, with trade show season in full swing, and the holidays fast approaching, inventories for promotional items are being decimated. “It has become essential to start thinking about your holiday season and trade show needs now, explains Mushonga. We cannot stress strongly enough that limited stock is becoming problematic throughout the entire promotional products sector.”

Growing a business in tough times can lead to big rewards. This is why increasing awareness and promoting your business is more critical than ever. Buy Promos Online is always looking for ways to make it easier for companies to keep their promotional and incentive strategies strong.

“Buy Promos Online understands the changing times and we are working hard to help our customers. We continue to offer the best pricing possible,” says Stephany Mushonga of BuyPromosOnline.com.” Now we are excited to offer a new category at www.buypromosonline.com for ‘$3.00 & Under’ items, and homepage specials of new, hot items.    We are writing to tell you about some changes occurring in the promotional products market that will ultimately affect you and your business.

Because of factors in the global and domestic marketplace, the price of promotional items across the board will be increasing in the next few weeks. It is also anticipated that pricing will continue to rise. Cost and demand for raw materials and commodities like oil-based products (plastics) are soaring and show no signs of slowing. Most promotional products, whether manufactured abroad or domestically, are made in part or in whole by these materials. Additionally, fuel costs to transport these items are skyrocketing.

To make matters worse the Summer Olympic Games, hosted by China, had a direct impact on the promotional industry. The Chinese government tried to get a handle on its horrendous pollution problem by closing some factories – many of which manufacture the products you use as promotional items — to lessen the pollution level and reduce the amount of traffic on main thoroughfares. Basically, the output in some areas will grind to a halt. Industry leaders expect that lead-times will continue to lag for several months after the Olympics. Factories will be stretched to catch up heading into the busy retail holiday season and many of the raw material factories will have a backlog of orders. This will disrupt the entire supply chain through China…sadly most products in our industry do originate in China.

As a business-minded person you are probably not very surprised at what you have read thus far. American businesses are experiencing a challenging period for growth. Though trimming the advertising & marketing budget may be necessary, it is still vital to promote your brand and your company to remain successful. Promotional products are important in tough times. The good news is that with a little planning and creativity you don’t have to break the bank to advertise!

It has become essential to start thinking about your holiday season and trade show needs NOW. We cannot stress strongly enough that limited stock will be problematic. If you are feeling the pinch in your pocket this year you can still purchase promos but look for items that are more affordable. Consider new ideas or take your promotional campaign in a new direction.

We highly recommend purchasing ALL promos EARLY due to the reasons cited above. Product pricing will continue to rise and, stock cannot be guaranteed (and the closer we get to the holidays the greater chance stock will not be available) To ensure on-time delivery order as early as possible.

Buy Promos understands the changing times and we are working hard to help our customers. We continue to offer the best pricing possible. We now have a new category on our site www.buypromosonline.com for “$3.00 & Under” items, bi-monthly eblasts informing of new, hot items and specials, and we continue to think of new ways to assist our customers promote themselves successfully.

A Look At Branding

Monday, August 4th, 2008

All business organizations develop brand names to take hold of targeted market shares. A good brand is able to deliver a simple and clear message; emotionally bond with the client; motivate customers to buy the product; and determine the customers’ loyalty. Companies or personal portfolios need these trademark names so their clients will know and remember their business cultures, personalities, attributes and value. Brands signal customers’ potential impression on what kind of product or services the company provides. Customers may associate it with bad experiences or excellence.

Branding is both science and art. It has its own technology and creativity to make itself striking and appealing at the same time unique and original. Naming a brand is the critical aspect. It composes of sound, rhythm, and easy retention. Other companies use code names for the market to easily recall. Examples are F150 or PN96 which became the best selling vehicle in the US market. A good naming strategy for a brand can powerfully dictate a marketplace. This will help companies save huge advertising budgets.

One way to make branding successful is to understand the perspectives, wants, desires, and needs of clients and customers.  Branding strategies should be incorporated by the company at every point of contact with the public. The public should be able to generally identify with it based on experience and perceptions in life. Companies should spend ample time researching, studying, defining and developing a specific brand name that will retain in the memory of the general public. It becomes the established marketing message of the company’s product or service.

Branding should keep in mind the constantly changing needs of the society. It has to be receptive and open to the public’s demands. It should get itself actively involved in different promotional strategies rather than remain as a paper logo. The name, in itself, should connect both the product and the customers. Other brand names consider clients or prospects only as goods, instead of developing value on the product.

Companies should understand that the public is an intelligent entity. Brand names should have the adaptability to grow with the demands of active customers. They need to be dynamic in order to stimulate interests of prospects otherwise they are considered the static type of brand names.

Branding is different from the concept of commercials shown in television. Television advertisements stir and excite the curiosity of the customers and changes from time to time. Branding should be consistent, focused.
